How to play the Bit Party game mode in MW3

Bit Party mode explained!

The Season 4 Reloaded update added the special Bit Party playlist modifier to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer. The playlist features a retro-style, pixelated map and characters; and is accompanied by a themed bundle and limited-time event. Here's an overview of the mode's special aspects and how to play it.

Playing the Bit Party game mode in CoD Modern Warfare 3

Bit Party is a playlist modifier, which means it utilizes regular maps and game modes from MW3 Multiplayer and adds a unique flavor to them. For instance, one of the maps in the pool includes Bitvela, which is an 8-bit pixel-art version of the original Favela map. More importantly, all the operators in the Bit Party playlist follow the same pixelated theme and are presented in the same manner.

The most interesting element of this limited-time mode is the operator head sizes. As you get more kills, the size of your head increases along with the hitbox, which means you are more visible to the enemies and become a bullet magnet. On the plus side, a bigger skull allows you to score more points and capture objectives faster. Your head size can be seen under your health bar in the bottom left corner.

If you kill an enemy with a big head, you receive bonus points for your team. Moreover, you get XP bonuses and special tags like Balloon Head Saboteur, Inflating Ego, and Parade Floating. Another cool aspect of the Bit Party playlist is the pixelated death effect (see image), which is a nice touch and adds to the theme. It'd have been even better if the weapons also followed the same 8-bit art style in this mode.

The Bit Party playlist features the following game modes:

  • Kill Confirmed
  • Domination
  • Hardpoint
  • Team Deathmatch

You can get the following maps in the Bit Party playlist. I'd suggest vote for Bitvela if it's an option as the map goes well with the retro-style aesthetic.

  • Bitvela
  • Satan's Quarry
  • Tetanus
  • Sporeyard
  • Airborne
Call of Duty Store bundles

If you're looking to spend some cash on a bundle and are into this retro-pixelated theme, let me suggest the 8-Bit Blitz Tracer Pack. You can purchase it for 3,000 CP from the store and use the pixelated operators and weapons in any game mode you like, be it Multiplayer or Warzone. The bundle features four operator skins, two weapon blueprints, and other cosmetics like a calling card and emblem.
