Warzone 2 Season 5 introduced new skins, operators, and weapons, along with Tactical Pets. One new cosmetic includes a pet named Merlin, who can be used in a specific Finishing Move. I was quite excited about this addition, and have obtained Merlin as a companion from the Battle Pass. Here's how you can equip and use a Tactical Pet in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
What are Tactical Pets in MW2 & Warzone 2?
In Warzone 2 and MW2, players have the option to use the Tactical Pets Companion feature in the Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and DMZ game modes. A Tactical Pet provides unparalleled friendship along with a special Finishing Move in combat scenarios. The operator Arthur equips a Tactical Pet named Merlin as his companion. Merlin looks like an idyllic Secret Service canine with a golden vest, a collar with his name tag, and an earpiece.
Tactical Pets cannot be harmed in any way, meaning players can neither attack nor shoot at them. At the same time, Tactical Pets cannot attack enemies outside of the Finishing Move. So unless that's your plan, these pets will simply remain your companion. Make sure to equip the Bark and Bite Finishing Move to your operator of choice.

With the introduction of these companions, players can expect different kinds of Tactical Pets to be added in the future. For all you dog lovers out there, you have the luxury of a faithful war-trained canine as your companion riding along on different maps.
