How to complete the Toxin Research mission in DMZ

  • Find and extract the Research Documents from the Ashika Science Center.
  • Place the Research Docs in the Smuggling Tunnels.
  • Place a Gas Can in the Smuggling Tunnels.

How to get the Research Documents from the Ashika Science Center

The Research Documents you're looking for is placed inside a locked room in the Science Center building on Ashika Island. This facility is located in Town Center, a POI in the western part of the map, as shown in the images above. The building often is a locked Stronghold, which you can access using a Stronghold Keycard found on enemies.

Enter the Science Center and make your way to the second floor where you'll find a locked metal door that can only be unlocked using the Research Center Room Key. You can get this key as a random loot drop or by killing HVTs on the map. Unlock the room if you have its key, and take the Ashika Research Documents from under the computer desk. Extract from the map to complete the first task.

Where to place the Research Documents and Gas Can in the Smuggling Tunnels

For the next step, you need to deploy into the Al Mazrah map with the documents you just extracted and visit the Smuggling Tunnels, which you may already know about from some of the previous missions. This is an underground cave network north of the Zarqwa Hydroelectric region. Although there are multiple entrances to the tunnels, you should take the one shown in the images above.

It's worth mentioning that you should also bring a Gas Can, which you can get from any nearby gas station in Zarqwa, Al Mazrah City, or other POIs. More importantly, you'll need a Stronghold Keycard to access the Smuggling Tunnels. At the depicted location, descend down the well using the rope and unlock the door using the keycard. Carefully take out the armored guards in the cave from outside the door. Now, enter through the door, and in your right corner you'll find some barrels and a lamp. That's the area where you'll get the prompt to place the Ashika Research Documents and the Gas Can. Proceed accordingly and place the required items to complete the mission and unlock Tier 5.
