How to get Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod in MW3 Zombies

Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod is a modification you can use on weapons to give them a freezing slow effect. After equipping this modification, you'll notice that enemies freeze or slow down for a few seconds after shooting at them. It is one of the easiest mods to obtain in the game, and there are several ways to acquire this item.

You can obtain it by fighting different zombie bosses. For me, this happened randomly after I defeated the Mangler boss and collected the rewards. I used the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod instantly from the rucksack to improve my SVA 545 assault rifle with a freezing slow effect.

You can also craft a Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod after finding its schematic from the MW3 Zombies map. I recommend visiting and capturing different Aether Nests across the map to obtain schematics. Destroy the cysts inside these nests, and after completing the objective, collect the schematics from the loot cache. However, the rewards obtained from Aether Nests are random, so you might obtain a different modification. Keep visiting all the nests around to map to farm various schematic recipes in a single run.

Complete Take Up Arms mission

Another sure-fire method to obtain the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod is to complete the Take Up Arms mission in Act 1 of MW3 Zombies. You'll be rewarded with a Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod which is stored in the rewards section of the Acquisition Stash. Equip the item to your rucksack before queuing in for a match, and use it after spawning on the map.
