There are so many complex smokes in Counter-Strike 2, so one definitely needs to practice them. In this guide, I'm going to teach you how to practice smokes in CS2.
All CS2 smoke practice commands
Smokes have always been a crucial strategy in Counter-Strike, whether it's in competitive esports or for average players like you and me. So, it's pretty important to have somewhere to practice them. Don't worry, though. There is a way to do so. Just follow these steps:
- Activate your console (if you haven't already)
- Go into Settings (gear icon)
- Choose Game
- Select Yes for Developer Console.
Now when you have successfully activated the developer console, you can start setting up an offline match with no bots, no timer, and unlimited money so you can keep on buying smokes.
- Click Play
- Choose Practice
- Pick a map of your choice
- Enable Grenade Camera, Infinite Ammo, and Infinite Warmup.
- Start the practice match
- Open up the developer console by pressing the tilde key (`)
- Type in:
- sv_cheats true
- Enables cheats in-game, allowing you to access additional commands.
- mp_maxmoney 100000;mp_startmoney 100000;mp_restartgame 1
- Allows you to have unlimited money and restart the round once you've run out.
- mp_buy_anywhere 1
- Lets you buy weapons anywhere on the map.
- mp_buytime 60000
- Unlimited time to buy weapons.
- bind n noclip
- Allows you to fly around freely after pressing the n key, so you can follow your smoke.
- sv_cheats true
These are all the commands you need to practice any smokes, grenades, flashbangs, or even decoys. CS2 does a good job of integrating this as a key strategy, hence the implementation of the Grenade Camera, which helps you track wherever your grenade will land.
