Should you get the kid’s wallet back or buy the medicine in Crisis Core?

Do the right thing.

As you progress in Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, you will eventually meet Aerith and find yourself in the Sector Five Slums. As you enter this area, a kid will steal your wallet, and you must track them down. When you do, you are left with a choice to retrieve the wallet or purchase the kid's medicine. This may leave you wondering if you should get the wallet back or purchase the medicine in Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core.

Should you buy the kid's medicine or get the wallet back in Crisis Core?

We recommend that you select to purchase the kid's medicine when prompted with this choice in Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core. Regardless of your choice, you will have to face the monster and get the wallet back. But if you select the medicine option first, you will gain additional increases to Aerith's affection.

Selecting to get the wallet back from the monster will also give affection, but the amount is less. This will be helpful for your Limit Break and with the potion kid's mini-game. So you should get the medicine before facing the monster for the maximum increase to Aerith's affection.

You can simply bypass buying the medicine and go straight to the playground to battle the monster. If you do so, you will only miss out on a few affection points. But we prefer the headcanon that Zack purchases the medicine to impress Aerith.
