Is CrossfireX free-to-play?

As the release date of CrossfireX approaches, players have a number of questions in their minds. The first-person shooter game has different modes and is available on Xbox consoles. But can you play the game for free?

CrossfireX has a free-to-play multiplayer mode and two paid campaigns. The multiplayer can be downloaded and played by anyone on the available platforms, namely Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. However, the game's campaign can be accessed by purchasing the special edition.

CrossfireX Ultimate Package costs $30 and comes with the two campaigns—CrossfireX: Operation Catalyst and CrossfireX: Operation Spectre. Additionally, this edition contains the Season One Premium Battle Pass and other rewards. That said, there is another way to experience the campaign.

Is CrossfireX coming to Xbox Game Pass?

CrossfireX: Operation Catalyst will be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on day one. Although this is only one part of the campaign, it's a great offering for players who want to indulge in the game's storyline. Furthermore, you don't need to have Xbox Live Gold to play the game.
