Darkest Dungeon 2 Devs make an announcement alongside the sequel’s Early Access debut

Darkest Dungeon's challenging roguelike series has amassed a loyal and dedicated following with its challenging gameplay and unforgiving nature. The original title was released back in 2015 to much praise from fans, and over six years later, the sequel hits Early Access on Steam.

The founders of Red Hook Studios made a statement alongside the Early Access launch. The message thanks fans for their dedication thus far while letting them know that Darkest Dungeon 2 is an Early Access title. Darkest Dungeon may not feel as complete as its predecessor does upon its debut. The team at Red Hood Studios is working hard to make the sequel more significant and better over time but aims to remain transparent with everyone purchasing the game and curb expectations.

Darkest Dungeon 2 is an ongoing project the team is thankful to have the opportunity to create. Like the original release, the team knows that all the features, options, and support will funnel in over the coming months.
