Darkest Dungeon 2 – Platforms, System Requirements, Cost, & more

Slay the Darkest Spire.

Darkses Dungeon 2 continues the original story, meaning you'll enjoy being tormented by monsters that can end your journey with one strike. I'm looking forward to fighting with them, just as I did in early access, but now with new content and improvements. Here's everything you need to know about Darkest Dungeon 2, such as its platform system requirements and more.

What is the release date for Darkest Dungeon 2?

Darkest Dungeon 2 was released on May 8, 2023. As the game was in early access for a few years, this is the Darkest Dungeon 2 1.0 version. If you've played it before launch, you'll notice several improvements and an introduction of the character not in early access.

What platforms is Darkest Dungeon 2 on?

We'll have plenty of platform options for Darkest Dungeon II, eventually. As it happens, the developer's focus is on PC, where players can choose between Steam and the Epic Games Store. Official information is that "console releases will follow May 1.0 release." So, if you're planning to run Darkest Dungeon 2 on PlayStation or Xbox consoles, be ready for a short waiting period.

What are the PC System Requirements for Darkest Dungeon 2?

Darkest Dungeon II is not a game that will push your PC to its limits. Having said that, the sequel has 3D visuals, so you'll need a stronger machine than the one you had while playing the original. System requirements can be broken down into the minimally required settings and the recommended system settings for playing Darkest Dungeon 2.

How much will Darkest Dungeon 2 cost?

Darkest Dungeon 2 price on Steam is $38.99, the same as the price on Epic Games Store. We expect the price to be the same on the launch date. There is also a Darkest Dungeon/Darkest Dungeon II bundle called The Academic Editon (or The Iron Crown, depending on the region) that costs $44.98 on a discount. Keep in mind that price changes may occur with other currencies.

Does Darkest Dungeon 2 have multiplayer?

There will be no multiplayer options for Darkest Dungeon 2. This includes both online multiplayer and local co-op. Both this game and the previous installment, Darkest Dungeon, are missing multiplayer options, so this is not a big surprise.

Is Darkest Dungeon 2 an open-world game?

While this is a road trip game where you can choose a path like in Slay the Spire, Darkest Dungeon 2 is not an open-world game. You'll have an opportunity to select a map, but it doesn't mean you can go off-road and do whatever you wish.
