What are the Blood Droplets and Basins in the DBD Blood Moon event?

The blood droplets and basins are part of the new gameplay mechanics, where you have to collect blood droplets and put them inside the basin. This creates a circle around the basin, and inside this circle, you get various buffs as the killer or survivor.

There will be three basins in each game, so you have to capitalize on them before the other party does. Additionally, the killer can carry two blood droplets at the same time and start with one droplet, while each survivor can carry one and start with none.

The killer can snatch the droplets from the survivors by hitting them once with a basic attack. The survivor can also steal droplets from the killer by stunning the killer. Either way, you must play it safe and be mindful of the other party.

All Blood Basin buffs for the Killer and survivors

This is the buff the killer will get when it activates the basin:

  • With the lunge attack, the killer has a 100% increased range, but the cooldown is doubled.

For survivors, these are the buffs for once they activate the basin:

  • Grunting noise is reduced by 50% for all injured survivors, and the blood pool disappears 50% faster. All effects are doubled when crouching.
  • If you are the one who deposited the blood droplet, you will get all of these effects map-wide for a limited time.
