How to fix Dead Island 2 inventory and workshop crashing on PC

There are a handful of possible solutions that you can try to resolve Dead Island 2 crashing when you enter your inventory and try to repair weapons in the workshop on PC, most of which are tied to your game files:

  • Restart Dead Island 2—An obvious one, but if you've not done so already, close and reopen the game and see if that fixes the problem.
  • Disable AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2—To do this, press Pause. Go to Options > Display > Advanced Display > AMD FidelityFX. Toggle ON to OFF.
  • Verify the game files—Open the Epic Games Launcher and click on Library. Right-click Dead Island 2, select Manage, and then click the gray Verify button next to Verify Files.
  • Run Epic Games Launcher as Administrator—If you try the above and you're still getting crashes, close Dead Island 2 and the Epic Games Launcher. Then right-click on the Epic Games Launcher and select Run as Administrator.
  • Reinstall Dead Island 2—As a last resort, if none of the above works, uninstall Dead Island 2 and then reinstall it to refresh the game files.
