Destiny 2's Season 22, The Final Shape, is set to bring a lot more to the game, focusing on both the story and the combat system. In the livestream, Bungie introduced three new light-based abilities for Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans. I'm here to explain what they are and what they do.
Destiny 2 Season 22 New Abilities
The Final Shape gives Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans a Super Ability and Aspects for each of the classes. These abilities do various things to give you a buff against the new enemies you'll face in the next season.
Super Ability
- Solar Warlock
- Warlocks get enhanced melee and grenade abilities, which let them be in combat with a much more effective presence. This will be similar to Destiny 1's Radiance Super Ability for Warlocks.
- Arc Hunter
- This ability throws a knife at an enemy, which you can then teleport to. This can be used multiple times in a row.
- Void Titan
- Launches three Void Axes at the targets, which aid in clearing out large mobs of enemies by sticking to them.
Aspects
- Warlock Solar
- This will summon a Solar Soul which attacks targets upon reaching proximity.
- Arc Hunter
- Amplifies the damage for both you and your allies in proximity.
- Void Titan
- It gives you a shield upon using and holding a grenade, which then shoots back the damage that has accumulated in it.
These are just some of the new updates that are to come with The Final Shape in Destiny 2. More details and updates on weapons are yet to come. For all we know, this might just be the very start of the upgrades to the combat system.
