Best Hunter loadout for solo Legendary Operation: Seraph’s Shield

They can't kill what they can't see.

Part of the process for unlocking Catalysts for the Exotic pulse rifle, Revision Zero, will take Guardians through the Operation: Seraph's Shield mission on Legendary difficulty. This mission scales in difficulty the same way that the Witch Queen campaign did, so it's actually easier to complete solo than with a fireteam. That being said, it won't be a walk in the park. Here's the most optimal loadout for Hunters to clear the orbital station.

What loadout to use as Hunter to solo Legendary Operation: Seraph's Shield

Weapons

There are two loadouts that we prefer when it comes to weapons. The first uses Ragnhild-D, Le Monarque, and Falling Guillotine. This will carry you through the entire mission, up to the final boss. Feel free to be generous with Falling Guillotine as it will make short work of foes and there are plenty of heavy ammo boxes.

When it comes time to face down the final boss, swap over to a pulse rifle like Smite of Merain, The Enigma, and Xenophage. The Enigma will be your primary weapon for clearing out the swarms while Smite of Merain will help apply the Suppressor debuff on the boss. Finally, when the boss enters the damage phase, Xenophage will take chunks out of him.

  • Primary Slot: Ragnhild-D, Smite of Merain
  • Secondary Slot: Le Monarque, The Enigma
  • Power Slot: Falling Guillotine, Xenophage

Armor and Mods

As an invisibility-based hunter, Graviton Forfeit is the only Exotic armor we can recommend due to its improved invisibility perk. Additionally, we're fans of Charged with Light builds, especially those that make use of High-Energy Fire for increased damage.

  • Mods: Solo Operative, Taking Charge, High-Energy Fire, Charged Up,

Subclass, Aspects, and Fragments

This build is all about going invisible and engaging in guerilla warfare. Quick, powerful hits that allow you to dip back into the shadows after each attack are key. Dodging, Finishers, and Smoke Bombs will make you invisible, so there shouldn't be any time left out in the open.

  • Subclass: Void (Moebius Quiver)
  • Aspects: Vanishing Step, Trapper's Ambush
  • Fragments: Echo of Obscurity, Echo of Leeching, Echo of Remnants

The biggest thing to know when dealing with Operation: Seraph's Shield on Legendary alone is that there will be an unending tide of enemies. Because they're strong enough to take you out in one or two hits, it is imperative to be proactive about crowd control. This holds especially true in the first and last boss encounters. Take the time to drop the boss' goons before engaging them. Play smart and safe to emerge victorious.
