Loadouts have finally arrived in Destiny 2 alongside the Lightfall expansion. This has been one of the more requested features. Sure, sites like DIM have had this feature for a while, but many like us believe that Destiny 2 shouldn't rely so heavily on third-party apps. Now that it's here, you might be wondering how best to utilize it. Let us help you out.
How to create loadouts in Destiny 2
Guardians start with six loadout slots available to them with another four opening up by completing a section of the Guardian Ranks system. By hovering their cursor over an empty space, a new loadout can be saved based on the currently equipped gear. If the slot is already occupied, players can overwrite it with the current settings. Also while hovering over the loadout, players can equip it, preview it, and swap the icon, name, and color.
As for organization, it largely comes down to your playstyle. We're fans of having a loadout for each subclass, one for PvP, one for Gambit, and a few for raid-specific encounters. However, if you're a player that leans into one activity harder than others, the world is your oyster (up to 10 slots). Being able to customize by name, color, and icon should make it quick and easy for Guardians to easily identify loadouts after they've been created. Go forth and buildcraft, Guardians!
