Destiny 2 – Disjunction Map Tips for PvP

I'm a god. How can you kill a god?

It's no secret that Destiny 2 has a Crucible problem. PvP players have been clamoring for attention for years, and rightly so. To alleviate that pressure, developer Bungie has been trickling in new maps. One such map that came with the release of the Witch Queen was Disjunction. It allows Guardians to play in a Pyramid Ship playground. In addition to being thematically new, it's a weird hybrid map where both long-range and close-up encounters work well. No matter your play style, here's how to conquer it.

How to conquer Destiny 2's Disjunction map

Bring out yer scouts and snipers

The midzone of the Disjunction is akin to the no-man's land between WWI trenches. Every charge through it is a mad-dash full of desperate hope that the enemy snipers don't drop you dead. As such, you should stay out of the mid-zone at all costs. Both teams will have Guardians ready with snipers and scouts. They'll be busy picking off one another from the other side of the lane but won't pass up the chance for an easy kill.

Despite sounding like a futile war of attrition, these ranged engagements help keep the enemy in check and stop the other side from rushing. This is the map for you if you're a fan of using longer-ranged weapons like Dead Man's Tale or any sniper. Essentially, this main corridor keeps both teams, for the majority, on the side they spawned. That being said...

Play in the side lanes

Plenty of winding and narrow side lanes go around and under the main corridor. These serve as fantastic choke points if defended. However, more aggressive players can do serious work with a shotgun, SMG, or sword in these tight spaces. Even better, running with a coordinated fireteam makes it possible to push to the other team's base using these tunnels and hallways. If long-range encounters aren't your jam, learn to love the fast-paced combat of the side lanes.

Keep moving

Standing still is a death sentence in Disjunction. That is due to many open spaces. Plenty of chest-high barriers spread throughout the map, but there isn't much in total cover. No matter where you are on the map, it won't take too much effort for someone to find an angle to get a shot in. Moving is vital to survival, especially if the game mode is Rift and requires Guardians to stick with their runner to push from one side of the map to the other.

Roaming supers are your friend

Due to Disjunction's highly mobile nature, roaming supers will be your friend. For Titans, you're looking at Arc slams or Solar Hammers. Warlocks can absolutely devastate with their Arc tickle-fingers or Dawnblade. Hunters... Do hunters have a Super that wouldn't work well on Disjunction? Either way, whatever keeps your murder spree mobile is the route to go.
