Pulse Rifles are a dime a dozen in Destiny 2, but every once in a while, you happen upon a truly special weapon. Yesteryear is one of these weapons, with high Aim Assistance and an all-around helpful build. With the right perks, Yesteryear can dominate the battlefield in both PvP and PvE settings. Here are the God Rolls for Yesteryear, including PvP and PvE.
Yesteryear God Roll for PvP
The PvP God Roll for Yesteryear is Perpetual Motion and Desperado, along with Arrowhead Brake and Ricochet Rounds. In this God Roll, Perpetual Motion grants the player bonus stability, handling, and reload speed when they are actively moving. Desperado increases the weapon's rate of fire after reloading, but only if the player secured a precision final blow.
Arrowhead Brake is a must-have, since it improves the recoil drastically and makes it easier to land shots on enemy Guardians. Ricochet Rounds causes the weapon's bullets to bounce off surfaces, but it can be substituted with High-Caliber Rounds if necessary.
This combination of perks makes Yesteryear an excellent pick in Crucible, since it is most effective in constant motion. With Arrowhead Brake, this Pulse Rifle's recoil is quite manageable, making it a powerhouse in the right hands.

Yesteryear God Roll for PvE
The PvE God Roll for Yesteryear is Ambitious Assassin and Multikill Clip, along with Arrowhead Brake and Extended Mag. In this God Roll, Ambitious Assassin increases the magazine capacity by up to 50%, when the player reloads after a kill. Multikill Clip buffs the damage of the weapon for several seconds after a multikill, stacking up to a 50% damage boost.
Arrowhead Brake is vital, since it keeps the weapon's recoil from becoming a problem. Extended Mag synergizes well with Ambitious Assassin, since it increases the size of Yesteryear's magazine and practically allows you to shoot forever. This can also be exchanged for Appended Mag, if so desired.
This combination of perks focuses on constant damage output, preventing players from having to reload often. Although players should reload at points, to enable Ambitious Assassin, this build promotes consistent damage against rank-and-file enemies.
How do you get Yesteryear?
Yesteryear can be obtained from Drifter, who is located in The Tower. This weapon may drop from Gambit rank-up packages, or Gambit loot at the end of a match. If players possess a Gambit Engram, they can submit it to Drifter to gain a guaranteed Yesteryear weapon. This is an effective method of farming for a potential God Roll.
