How to get Lucky Pants in Destiny 2 (and What They Do)

How to get Lucky Pants in Destiny 2

Like many Exotics in Destiny 2, the Lucky Pants can be obtained in a variety of ways. One such way would be to wait for it to appear in Xur's shop, which can result in a long wait. Another way would be farming for Exotic Engrams and hoping the Lucky Pants drop out of one of them.

There's also a chance the Exotic could appear as an award from PvE or PvP events, but there's no guarantee there, either. It all comes down to a bit of luck, as is the case with many of the sought-after pieces of gear in Destiny 2. Once you do get your hands on the Exotic, there are a variety of builds that will work nicely with it.

Best builds for Lucky Pants in Destiny 2

Lucky Pants are an interesting Exotic as they provide a significant buff to Hand Cannon damage, and they'll be getting increased accuracy on top of that. Here's a look at the perk of Lucky Pants.

• Illegally Modded Holster: Hand Cannons ready faster and gain increased accuracy and bonus damage.

In my experience, there are plenty of good Hand Cannons in Destiny 2 that can take advantage of this unique perk, and any Hunter will have a great time with this type of build. Ensure the Hand Cannon matches your subclass for this to work. Some good Hand Cannons that work well with the Lucky Pants are The Last Word and Crimson, as they can get stacks of bonus damage in a hurry. Precision kills with the Crimson Hand Cannon reload it so that the damage buff can last quite a while. Coupled with the 3-shot burst, it's a very deadly combo.

The Last Word is an automatic Hand Cannon, so it's easy to see how the increased damage can stack up quickly there as well. It's hard to go wrong using this with the Lucky Pants, despite The Last Word being such an old Exotic at this point in Destiny 2's lifespan.
