How to unlock Seraph Chests in Destiny 2

We'll pick the lock if we have to.

At the end of a Heist: Battlegrounds match, there are two levels of rewards you can claim. Every player receives a default amount of loot from Heist: Battlegrounds chests, but there is a way to earn extra rewards. Through unlocking Seraph Chests, players can grab a few additional pieces of loot, although they require an exclusive currency to open. Here's how to unlock Seraph Chests in Destiny 2.

In order to unlock Seraph Chests, you must submit 500 Seraph Key Codes by interacting with the chest. To check how many Seraph Key Codes you have, open your Inventory menu and look for a black and gold card icon. This icon displays how many codes you currently have in the bottom right corner. You can only hold 2000 Seraph Key Codes at a time, so make sure to redeem them frequently at the end of Heist: Battlegrounds matches.

You can get Seraph Key Codes from any of the playlist activities, as well as Patrols and Heist: Battlegrounds. After your first playlist match each week, you receive an increased number of codes, but this amount returns to normal after that initial match. At ranks 12 and 32 of the Season 19 Pass, you can claim a Seraph Key Code Boost, which helps you obtain a boosted number of codes. These boosts also stack, making it easier to gain codes over time.
