‘I’m Commander Shepard and this is my favorite Destiny 2 collaboration.’

I'm full of so many conflicting emotions.

Just when I made it past the allure of the Destiny 2 and Witcher collaboration, Bungie has come after my wallet with the Mass Effect Alliance Requisition Bundle. It's my two all-time favorite science fiction franchises coming together to wage war on my bank account.

In an X (formerly Twitter) post made by the Destiny 2 account, the collaboration with Bioware will be available on February 13, 2024. It's the perfect gift for the impending Valentine's Day should you and your partner be into crushing Hive Ghosts in style.

The player cosmetic armor showcases Titans as Commander Shepard, Hunters as my digital best friend, Garrus Vakarian, and Warlocks as my ride-or-die, Liara T'Soni. For the first time, I am equally wowed with all sets and might actually be pressured into playing all three classes more regularly.

In addition to the truly stellar armor cosmetics, players will be able to obtain the Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate ship, and Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow. These will be available to everyone for free. So, even if you're not an active player, it may be worth it to log in and claim these accessories.

While the price for the armor sets hasn't been unveiled at the time of writing, it's likely that they'll be priced at the traditional 2000 Silver. This translates to roughly $20 a piece, or $60 for the trio. When faced with the staggering cost of what are essentially skins, it's okay to feel aversion, especially when that money could be spent on the Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
