Nighmare Sigils initially come from caches provided by the Tree of Whispers. They are how you gain access to Nightmare dungeons, but as mentioned, you'll need to craft them in order to get the best rewards. To do this, head to the major city of your preference, and speak with the local Occultist. Select the Craft Sigils option, which should open up a screen with two different types of Sigils for craft avaiable: Sacred and Ancestral.

These two types of Sigils represent the different levels of difficult available for Nightmare dungeons. Sigils exist in tiers:

  • Sacred Sigils - Tier 1 to Tier 20, Requires World Tier 3
  • Ancestral Sigils - Tier 21 to Tier 100, Requires World Tier 4

You can craft one of these two types of Sigils using Sigil Powder, which can be obtained via drops from Nightmare dungeons, or by salvaging Sigils at the Occulist. When you have enogh Sigil Powder, simply click on the tier grouping of your desire. Select how many you wish to craft, then hit the Craft button. A Sigil of the tier grouping you selected willl apper in your consumables tab. If this tab is full, it will go to your Stash instead. Note that you cannot select the exact Tier level you wish you accquire. Unfournately, you'll have to rely on a bit of RNG, but at least the variance is relatlively small.
