Edgemasters Aspect Diablo 4 – How to get and use, explained

A solid damage bonus, but at a cost...

Update: Looks like Blizzard has temporarily disabled this Aspect due to a bug/glitch. When it is re-enabled, we'll let you know.

There are many Aspects to be found and added to your Codex of Power in Diablo 4. Every Legendary Aspect can be found in one of the numerous dungeons scattered around completion. One such Aspect is the Edgemasters Aspect, an all-class Aspect with variable use, but only if you know how to abuse it. Before you can even attempt to use it though, you first need to know where to find it. Here's everything you need to know about the Edgemasters Aspect in Diablo 4

Where to find the Edgemasters Aspect Diablo IV?

The Edgemasters Aspect can be found in the Oldstones dungeon, directly north of Kyovashad, located with The Downs region. There is no direct, northern path to Oldstones from Kyovashad, so you'll have to navigate the land a bit. Leave Kyovashad from its eastern exit, and follow the road east until it begins to curve northeast. Continue to follow the path until it cycles directly north, then northwest. From here, the path should lead you directly to Oldstones without any problem.

If this isn't enough guidance, then you can find the Edgemasters Aspect in your Codex of Power, and choose the Pin to Map option. Even if you have not yet located Oldstones, the map with still give you a path leading you directly to it from your current location. Once you reach the dungeon, clear it as normal and Edgemasters Aspect will be yours.

How to use the Edgemasters Aspect in Diablo IV

Edgemasters Aspect increases the damage of all your damaging skills by the stated variable value depending on the amount of your main resource that you have when activating them. This is a sizeable damage boost, regardless if your Edgemasters Aspect rolled with the lowest possible value. Using it is very simple: When you are maxed in your resource, you will get the largest possible damage boost for your Edgemasters Aspect.

As an example, if you are Sorcerer, and you cast Fireball with maximum Mana, then Edgemasters Aspect will grant Fireball its entire stated bonus. However, if you cast Fireball with half mana, then Edgemasters Aspect will grant that Fireball only half its bonus. Edgemasters Aspect treats classes differently, depending on how their resource works.

The best way to use Edgemaster's Aspect on classes with an auto-refilling resource is to use the most powerful skill you have, right at the start of the fight. The reason for this is that it is never worth trying to gain this bonus by waiting for your resource to refill, therefore, lowing your overall DPS. On the contrary, the best way to use the Aspect on classes that require you to manually fill their resource is to fight as you normally do, and let the Aspect grant you increasingly more powerful bonuses as the fight progresses.

Is Edgemasters Aspect worth using in Diablo IV?

In my opinion, I am not a huge fan of Edgemasters Aspect because of the limitations attached to it. I play a Rogue, so I can make full use of its bonus on my opening move. However, after that, I have to constantly be using my other skills to be efficient, never again gaining this Aspect's full bonus until the very next fight. As mentioned, there are a ton of Aspects that grant bonus damage without this Aspect's downsides.

I don't think it's a bad Aspect, as it is still a flat increase in damage that you can get. However, I recommend using a different one that has a similar effect so you aren't forced to babysit your resource just to make full use of it.
