How to get Queen Maggot Ichor & Yellow Lotus in Diablo 4 (The Cage of Grief)

In Diablo 4, you will have to complete story quests throughout the different Acts, and some of them can be tricky to complete. The Cage of Grief quest is a quest in Act 5: Secrets Barters, Fates Sold where you have to accompany Taissa and Donan to the Hungering Swamp cave. During this quest, you'll need to find the Maggot Queen Ichor and Yellow Lotus to perform a ritual. Here's how to get the Queen Maggot Ichor and Yellow Lotus in Diablo 4.

Where to find the Queen Maggot Ichor and Yellow Lotus in Diablo 4

The Queen Maggot Ichor and Yellow Lotus are two items you will find inside the Hungering Swamp itself. These two items will be used to perform a ritual that lets Donan meet his son Yorin. After interacting with Taissa and Donan, exit the ritual site hut and explore the depths of the cave. I'd recommend going south first, as this is where you'll have to fight the Maggot Queen. 

Pick up the Maggot Queen Ichor location in Diablo 4

The Maggot Queen Ichor can be obtained by defeating the Maggot Queen boss, located in the southeastern tunnels of the Hungering Swamp. Check the yellow circle on the map image above to see the exact location of the Maggot Queen boss. 

There are several smaller Maggot enemies in this region, and they deal poison damage. You'll need to engage them first to bring out the Maggot Queen boss. Be careful, as this boss spews poison all around the arena, so you'll need to move around to survive the fight. After defeating the Maggot Queen boss, it drops the Queen Maggot Ichor. You will also get gold and other loot from defeating this Elite enemy.

Collect a Yellow Lotus location in Diablo 4

After you have the Queen Maggot Ichor, return to the ritual site hut, and head northeast to explore the tunnels in the Hungering Swamp. Over hear you will find several undead enemies and Maggot, defeat them all and keep going to the very end of the tunnel. At the end of the area, you'll find the Yellow Lotus, check the map image above to see its exact location.

Once you have both items, return to Taissa and Donan at the ritual site hut, and place the items inside the boiling pot. Donan will drink the potion, and a cutscene ensues where you see Yorin's ghost returning to speak to his father. Once the cutscene is over, Memphisto will cast a portal to speak to the wanderer in private.
