Disney Dreamlight Valley Fairy Godmother Friendship Level 2 Quest – Fire Alarm Walkthrough

Time to finally extinguish some fires in The Forgotten Lands!

It doesn't take long to reach level 2 of Friendship with Fairy Godmother, and once you do, you can select a Companion Role for her. I personally like to stick to Fishing and Mining for my roles since they are the most helpful in the long run, but you can choose whatever you like. You'll also unlock a Friendship Quest for Fairy Godmother called Fire Alarm. This quest will teach you how to get rid of those green fires in the Forgotten Lands once and for all. Here's how!

Those pesky green fires have made navigating around The Forgotten Lands difficult despite looking pretty cool and eerie. They have also kept some chests out of reach. Thankfully, with Fairy Godmother's help, we can finally extinguish them, clearing up some space in the biome and collecting our loot.

In order to start putting them out, you'll need to make an Icy Enchantment upgrade for your Royal Watering Can. To make the upgrade, make sure you've reached Friendship Level 2 with Fairy Godmother and begin the quest Fire Alarm. Talking with Fairy Godmother will initiate the task of preparing the Enchantment and upgrading your Watering Can.

The upgrade requires a few specific materials to craft the Icy Enchantment Royal Watering Can, which means you'll need to hunt around the biomes for them all before wandering to the closest Crafting Table, or if you have some stuff in storage, even better! Here's everything you'll need:

ItemAmountLocation
Tourmalines (Gems)3Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau
Snowballs15Frosted Heights
Dream Shards5(From Night Thorns and digging spots)
Empty Vial1(Crafted with 3 Glass: 5 Sand, 1 Coal each)
Purple Impatiens (Flowers)5The Forgotten Lands

If you make Fairy Godmother's role mining, you can take her along to get the Tourmalines and possibly make it a much easier task and boost your Friendship with her in the meantime. The rest of the ingredients shouldn't be too much of a hassle. If you don't have all Purple Impatiens in The Forgotten Lands, pick all the flowers you can, close out your game, and restart in a few minutes, and they should respawn.

Once you have all the materials, head to a Crafting Table, and you can craft the upgrade in the Potions and Enchantment tab. The upgrade will be usable from your Inventory and will automatically be applied to your Watering Can. Now you can head back to The Forgotten Lands and give it a try by wiping out five green fires for Fairy Godmother. Putting out the fires will drop glass for you to pick up.

After you do that, Fairy Godmother will have you jazz up the biome a little bit by placing down some decorations. You'll need to place the following items:

  • Seating x3
  • Outdoor Lighting x4
  • Paths x25

You can craft these items at your Crafting Table using some basic materials you collect around the Valley, such as wood, stones, and gems. All the items you need will have Fairy Godmother's face above them. You can also use any furniture items you already have. Once you're ready, open your Furniture menu, and you can open her requests at the very top and place each item down wherever you like.

The Forgotten Lands is starting to look much less menacing thanks to the Fairy Godmother's help and, of course, a touch of Dream Magic. You can continue getting rid of those green fires whenever you like now!
