How to complete Core Memories for Memory Mania in Disney Dreamlight Valley

This... Is going to take a while.

The Memory Mania event in Disney Dreamlight Valley runs from June 26 to July 17, 2024. This event is to help celebrate the release of Inside Out 2, and brings various items to the Valley that can be seen in the movie.

The Memory Mania event was released alongside a free content update where players can unlock Mulan and Mushu in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where to find memory items in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are three specific items hidden around your Valley and three of the Realms for you to find. In any one location, there will be between one and three of these items.

  • Skating Trophy in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
  • Hockey Equipment in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
  • Birthday Cake in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
  • The Skating Trophies can be found in both Scrooge’s Store and the Dream Castle.
  • The Hokey Equipment (a little shelf, no higher than your avatar's knee) can be found inside Mickey's house, Merlin's house, and Goofy’s house.
  • The pink Birthday Cake can be found scattered across these Realms: Moana, Ratatouille, and WALL-E.

What to do when you find a memory item

  • Blue Memory Orb in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
  • Yellow Memory Orb in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
  • Pink Memory Orb in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

When you find a Skating Trophy, Hokey Equipment, or a Birthday Cake, interact with it. Each of them will immediately turn into a memory orb:

  • Blue memories come from the Skating Trophies
  • Yellow memories come from the Hockey Equipment
  • Pink memories come from the Birthday Cakes

Memory orbs then turn into puzzle pieces or gold coins. The puzzle pieces are collected to reveal photos from Inside Out 2.

  • The Envy Animal Companion is a teal bunny rabbit with a purple ruff around their neck.
  • The Anxiety Animal Companion is an orange squirrel that seriously reminds me of Crash Bandicoot. It's the color.
  • The Ennui Animal Companion is a purple and white raven with a funky set of feathers on its head.
  • The Embarrassment Animal Companion is a pink turtle wearing a hoodie.

A quick note on the Memorabilia achievement: The Memory Orbs only count towards your total if they're part of a puzzle photo memory. Once you're done, you'll get a statue of Lance Slashblade from Inside Out 2.

You'll need to wait for the Memory Orbs to respawn in each location, and you should check the different areas, houses, and Realms as often as possible. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the placement and respawning of the Orbs, much like waiting for herbs to pop up in your Valley.
