With the arrival of Jack Skellington in the Disney Dreamlight Valley, players have been eager to complete his quests. The Scientific Method quest is one such quest and here's how you can do it quickly.
Disney Dreamlight Valley- Scientific Method quest guide
To start The Scientific Method quest, unlock Jack, and complete The Pumpkin King Returns quest. Once you have done these, you need to increase your friendship Level to 4. The Scientific Method is a level 4 quest; once it becomes available, speak to Jack in the Vitalys Mines.
How to find the Vitalys Mines in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Vitalys Mines are located in the Sunlit Plateau. Simply cross the wooden bridge near Goofy's Stall, and you will spot the entrance to the mines at the mouth of the river. Check the image above to see the location.
Once there, you need to look for Jack Skellington. To find him, enter the mines, take a right, and go straight until you hit another right which leads to a small room. Check the images above to see the path and what the room looks like.
After this, you will be tasked with crafting the Scientific kit using different materials.
How to craft the Scientific Kit in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To craft the Scientific Kit in Disney Dreamlight Valley, the following materials are required:
- 12 Softwood
- 8 Coal Ore
- 4 Empty Vial
- 3 Fabric
- 3 Iron Ingot
With all the materials, interact with a crafting station, and a Crafting Recipes menu will pop up. You will see Iron Ingot and Empty Vial under the Refined Material tab. Now click on the Functional Items tab to find the recipe for Scientific Kit. Craft it using all the above-mentioned materials and bring it to Jack.
After giving the kit to Jack, head back to the Vitalys Mines, but make sure to carry six Night Shards in your inventory. Give the Night Shards to Jack inside the Vitalys Mines.
The next task is to speak to Merlin who will tell you about the different potions in his house. You will be tasked to gather the following potions.
- Blue Potion
- Purple Potion
- Yellow Potion
- Green Potion
Where to find the Blue Potion in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Head inside Merlin's house, the Blue Potion is kept right on the table, simply interact to pick it up. Check the image above to see its precise location.
Where to find the Yellow Potion in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once you enter Merlin's house, look to your immediate left, and you will find sparkles just below the bookshelf. Interact and you will find the Yellow Potion. Check the image above to see the location.
Where to find the Purple Potion in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Take a right upon entering Merlin's house, the Purple Potion can be found on the ground between the table with the burning candles and the pile of books. Check the image above to see how it looks.
Where to find the Green Potion in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Green Potion can be found on the floor beside the fireplace and in front of the huge piles of books. Check the image above to see its exact location.
After collecting all the potions, head to the Vitalys Mines, and meet Jack. Take the right-hand path to find him along with the Giant Night Thorn. There, you need to place the correct potion which is the opposite of a Giant Night Thorn. The Yellow Potion is the correct potion and make sure to click on that when you interact with the Night Thorn.
After doing it successfully, a Night Thorn Sprout will appear in its place. Talk to Jack and give him the sprout which will conclude The Scientific Method quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
