Finding Clay is just as easy as other resources in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The only difference is that it's less clear for players where to look. Unlike with Stone or Soil, you're not given much direction from the game on how to acquire Clay. Thankfully, a few key spots have the most abundance of Clay.
Where can you find Clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
All Clay Locations in Dreamlight Valley
To find Clay, you'll need to make sure you are searching in the correct areas. This is because Clay does not spawn in all areas across the map. There are three biomes that Clay will be found in within Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- Forgotten Lands
- Glade of Trust
- Sunlit Plateau
In these biomes, you'll need to keep an eye out for wet/muddy-looking puddles, especially near bodies of water. These patches won't always produce Clay and will sometimes only drop Star Coins or Soil.

How to collect Clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You need your Shovel to collect Clay, as you'd do when collecting Soil in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Find one of the wet/muddy patches in one of the biomes listed above. Approach the patch and equip your Shovel using the Tab key. Interact with the area to dig it up.
This has a moderate chance of placing the Clay on the ground nearby for you to pick up and place in your inventory (if you have enough space). If you don't get Clay immediately, keep digging in other patches until it spawns.
