To get started, you'll need to speak to Mickey and complete the initial quest, 'A Game of Coins.' You will receive this quest automatically once you enter Eternity Isle. He will want you to win one game of Scramblecoin against him, and after doing so, you will be able to invite any of the Villagers to play.

You can play Scramblecoin anywhere you are in the Valley. All you have to do to initiate a game is talk to the Villager you want to play against and choose the 'Do you want to play Scramblecoin?' dialogue option. You will only be able to invite other Villagers after winning against Mickey for his quest.

The goal of winning Scramblecoin is to collect more coins than your competitor over 5 rounds, and this is done by moving your figurines around the board and landing on the tiles with coins on them. Silver coins are worth 1 point each, and gold coin piles are worth 3 points each. Each round consists of two steps: placing a figurine and moving all figurines on the board.

At the start of the game, you will need to choose 5 figurines you want to play with. Picking your figurines is very important because they will all have different characteristics that will affect the way they can be played (such as how they can move, where they can be placed, and what special abilities they have).

You can only have three figurines on the board at a time, meaning if you want to place a different one, wait for the start of your turn and then place the new figurine on top of one already on the board to replace it. If you don't want to replace any figurines, you can Skip the placing phase. With your moving phase, you can move all your figurines currently on the board to any of their available spaces. You'll want to pay close attention to how they are able to move around the board (this will be listed on their figurine card at the bottom of the screen). Characters can pick up more than one coin at a time as long as it's within their moving capabilities.

Once the 5 rounds are over, the player with the most coins will be the winner. If you win against a Villager, you will earn some Ranking Points which will allow you to earn different rewards as you progress. These rewards consist of new figurines to use as well. So keep playing to level up and earn more.

Scramblecoin is not only an entertaining minigame but can also help you earn friendships with the Villagers much easier. Plus, with Multiplayer mode, you could potentially challenge your friends as well.
