In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can interact and befriend many Disney characters. With the latest update, A Festival of Friendship, new characters are added in the game. One of them is Olaf, the adorable snowman who was created by Elsa. Here is how you unlock Olaf in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Where is Olaf in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once you have downloaded the update for the Festival of Friendship, a cutscene will immediately flash by showing a blizzard that has taken over the Frosted Heights biome. You will need to find Merlin and talk to him about it. He will ask you to investigate it quickly, so make your way to the Frosted Heights, where you will find the wall. This is where you will discover a new door with unique symbols on it.
You need to interact with the door, and with that, a cutscene will flash, revealing Olaf sitting inside the cave. The funny little creature is missing his carrot nose, arms, and buttons. Olaf was locked and forgotten after a game of hide and seek, but you need to rescue him and bring Olaf back in the valley. You will find Olaf fighting some creatures inside the cave.
Where to interact with wall on cliff in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The wall on the cliff is just right behind the Frosted Height's Orb pillar. Check the image above to see the wall with unique symbols on it. You will need to find the scary squirrels to take back Olaf's nose and arms. You will find the squirrels lurking around the pond in Frosted Heights.
Once you have found the nose and arms, go and talk to Elsa, and she will tell you to use your watering can near the Orb Pillar at Frosted Heights. Now, go back to Olaf and water all the sparkling areas of the chamber. Another cutscene will appear, where you will see that your character threw the Orb and Olaf's arms in the portal.
Where to find the Book about Portals in the secret chamber in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The book about portals is right in front of the floating bookshelf inside Olaf's secret chamber. You need to pick up the book and bring it back to Olaf, who will tell you to create a Dreamlight Prism.
How to make a Dreamlight Prism in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once you interact with Olaf, he will tell you to gather the following items. You will need to collect 5 Purified Night Shards, 10 Glass, and 3 Shattered Prism. You will find Shattered Prisms lying on the floor inside the secret chamber. Check the image above to see how they look in the game. Next up, you need to find Sand and Coal Ore to make Glass. Similarly, you'll need five Night Shards and one Dream Shard to craft Purified Night Shards. With these items, you can craft a Dreamlight Prism. Once its ready, take the Dreamlight Prism and place it on the pedestal in the secret chamber. The next part of this quest requires you to gather three more gemstones to place on the pillars in the chamber.

Which gemstones are needed to complete Olaf's quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
The three gemstones required are: Amethyst, Citrine, and Emerald. We have the required gemstones stored in a room, but if you do not have them, then you can collect it from the following places. Go to the Sunlit Plateau or Glade of Trust and mine the dark stones to obtain Citrine. To collect Emerald, you need to mine them from Forest of Valor or Glade of Trust. Similarly, to get Amethyst, you need to visit Frosted Heights or Forgotten Lands.
Once you have all the gemstones, place them on the respective pillars. You will notice a flickering portal inside the secret chamber. Interact with it and select your deepest fear to get the Orb along with Olaf's hands. A final cutscene will ensue, revealing where to place the orb. Now, go back to Frosted Heights and place the orb in the pillar and speak to Olaf. The quest will be complete as he is unlocked, and your friendship level will increase to level two with him.
