After a generous teaser trailer during today’s Nintendo Direct, we now know that Dying Light Platinum Edition is heading to Nintendo Switch. The game will precede its upcoming sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, with a release in 2021
When does Dying Light: Platinum Edition release on Nintendo Switch?
While Dying Light 2: Stay Human - Cloud Version is set to hit the Nintendo Switch on February 4th, 2022, Platinum Edition will be with us much sooner. The announcement revealed it would be released on October 19th, 2021, just a few weeks away.
Dying Light is a unique spin on the zombie genre that sees you play a survivor who escapes the perils of the undead with impressive parkour and free-running moves. Dying Light was hugely popular on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but this is the first time the game will come to Nintendo Switch.
But rather than just being a simple port, it was confirmed in a recent press release that Dying Light: Platinum Edition for Nintendo Switch will feature motion controls and HD rumble. This was said to help players experience the true “free-flow of parkour and exploring.”
The game is also set to have some bonus goodies if you buy a physical copy. Dying Light Platinum Edition’s retail version will include stickers, DLC and skin bundles, maps, a survival card, and more. The Platinum Edition looks like it might just live up to its lofty name.
