How long does EarthBound take to beat?

At Nintendo's February 2022 Direct, it was revealed that EarthBound and EarthBound Beginnings would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can play this game as a part of NSO's catalog of retro titles. EarthBound will take players around 25 hours to complete but can take even longer if they delve into the game's side quests and extras.

What is EarthBound about?

EarthBound is the second installment in the fan-favorite EarthBound (Mother) series. In this title, players will explore the world of EarthBound as Ness, a child with psychic abilities, on a journey to confront the alien threat known as Giygas. Ness will be accompanied by companions (Paula, Jeff, and Poo) throughout his journey, each possessing their own perks and abilities that players can use in the game's unique combat system.

EarthBound's original U.S. release was in 1995 for the SNES. This will be the first time the game has been playable on the Nintendo Switch and will be released alongside the first game in the series, EarthBound Beginnings.
