You can recruit all of these heroes during this quest, although you don’t need them all to complete it. All the locations are marked on the map above. If you need more details, check out The Watch Captain's first Job complete walkthrough in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

  • Francesca: She is on the upper left street in Altverden. All you need to do is ask her to join you after her initial cutscene.
  • Iugo: In the tavern on the east side of Eltisweiss.
  • Kuroto: He is on the lower left street in Altverden. You need to kill some boars to prove your worth before recruiting him, which you can find as random mobs in Redhroat Ridge.
  • Mellore: Meet her by walking down the central street in Eltisweiss, and then follow her to Redthroat Ridge and defeat the boss with her there.
  • Yusuke: Go to fort Zialuke. You’ll get Yusuke after a cutscene (conversation option: Welcome to the ranks).

All characters that can be recruited after the Separate Ways quest

Once housed in the ruined fortress, you can recruit the following heroes by going off-script from the main story at any time.

Frida (Armor Shop)

Enter Werne Village and take the first path left. You’ll find Frida’s stall just past the old lady (see Yume below). Just talk to her and she’ll join you.

Ormond (Quarry)

Yume

Talk to the Old Lady in Werner Village (first left turn, she’s by the fence), and then go to Redthroat Ridge (where you got Mellore to join you). Just a little while past the entrance inside the ridge, you’ll find Yume and her ‘Friend’. Just speak to them and they’ll be happy to join you. Now you just need to go back and speak to the Old Lady again to get her approval.
