Spirit summoning is an essential mechanic in Elden Ring, and players will need to have the best Spirits to defeat enemies quickly. To summon Spirits, players will need the Spirit Calling Bell, which you can acquire early on in the game. There are a few Legendary Spirits that you can collect by defeating bosses, and the following list features the best five Spirits everyone should have in their arsenal:

Best Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring

Mimic Tear 

The Mimic Tear legendary ashen remains is perhaps the best Spirit in the game. Players will find this Spirit in the Night's Sacred Ground located near the Ancestral Woods Site of Grace at Nokron, Eternal City. It creates a duplicate of your character and performs attacks by all weapons equipped by the player. Instead of using FP, the Mimic Tear costs 660 HP to summon.

Cleanrot Knight Finlay

Cleanrot Knight Finlay is a legendary ashen remain, and players can acquire this Spirit by visiting Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree located at Miquella's Haligtree. Players can access this area after defeating Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree. The Spirit is hidden in a treasure chest guarded by Cleanrot Knights. Defeat them to acquire Cleanrot Knight Finlay Spirit, which costs around 127 to summon.

Black Knight Tiche 

Black Knife Tiche is another legendary ashen remain, and it can be acquired by defeating Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader at Ringleader's Evergoal. This location is located east of the Village of the Albinurics Site of Grace at southwest Liurnia. Players can summon the Black Knife Tiche by using 132 FP.

Battlemage Hughes 

Battlemage Hughes is one of the top Spirit ashes to use if you prefer a sorcerer at your side. Players can acquire this Spirit by defeating Battlemage Hughes inside the Sellia Evergoal, located east of the Sellia Backstreets Site of Grace at Caelid. It costs around 122 FP to summon Battlemage Hughes.

Omenkiller Rollo 

Omenkiller Rollo is another strong Spirit ashes players will come across while leaving Lyndell. You will acquire this Spirit after defeating the Fell Twins on the Divine Tower of East Altus bridge near the Capital Outskirts Site of Grace. It costs around 113 FP to summon Omenkiller Rollo.

Spirit Tuning allows players to level up Spirits in exchange for Grave and Ghost Glovewort. Players can do this by visiting Roderika at the Roundtable Hold. While Grave Glovewort can upgrade normal Spirits, Legendary Spirits will need Ghost Glovewort for Tuning.
