In Elden Ring, players will come across several areas that are closed by fog walls and guarded by Imp statues. To access these areas, players will need special items called Stonesword Keys. These items disappear after you use them, so players will need to collect several Stonesword Keys to unlock various areas. Â
One of these fog walls is present at the Tombsward Catacombs, located near the minor Erdtree at Weeping Peninsula. While you can use a Stonesword Key to open the fog wall, we recommend that you save the item instead to open different fog walls.
The reason is simple, the treasure chest inside Tombsward Catacombs only rewards players with the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook (9). Even though the Cookbook will allow you to craft new items, it is not worth wasting a rare item like the Stonesword Key.

Nevertheless, if players choose to open this fog wall by using a Stonesword Key, then you will come across a few skeleton enemies. They will keep regenerating until you eliminate them completely, so it's best to strike them once they start rising up. If you have not discovered Tombsward Catacomb yet, then follow the map above to visit this area.
