What are Ruin Fragments in Elden Ring?

Craft special stones or throw them at enemies!

In Elden Ring, players need to know everything about Crafting and all the necessary items they will find throughout their journey. A Ruin Fragment is one of the various Crafting Materials players will find in the Lands Between, and you can use it for various purposes.

Described as stone fragments found at places where ruins fall from the sky, Rune Fragments can be used to craft items like the Rainbow Stone and Scriptstone. Players can also hide at several spots and throw Rune Fragments at enemies to lure them away from their allies. While it does negligible damage, Rune Fragments provide an efficient way to eliminate enemies silently.

To craft items with Rune Fragments, players will have to purchase the Crafting Kit in exchange for Runes from the NPC Merchant Kale located at the Church Of Elleh. Crafting a Rainbow Stone allows players to mark a location briefly. Similarly, Crafting a Scriptstone will highlight and reveal messages from various players around your location.

Rune Fragments can also be used as a consumable item, and it's best to collect as many as you can. Get the Crafting Kit early to use Rune Fragments to craft the special stones or use them as bait for enemies.
