Where to find the Rotten Breath in Elden Ring

This Dragon Incantation spews Scarlet Rot.

In Elden Ring, players will come across various Dragon Incantations that can change the tide of any fight quite easily. The Rotten Breath is one of them, and it turns the caster into a dragon to spew scarlet rot breath. Scarlet Rot damage is one of the deadliest in Elden Ring, which makes this Dragon Incantation a must-have for all players.

The Rotten Breath is found at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion. This area is located on the southern side of Caelid, and players can find it by traveling south from Gowry's Shack or Caelid Waypoint Runs. To acquire the Rotten Breath, players will need 1 Dragon Heart. Follow the map image above to locate the Cathedral of Dragon Communion quickly.

The Rotten Breath Dragon Incantation has an FP Cost of 36 and uses only one Memory Slot. Players will need to have Faith at 15, Arcane at 12, and Intelligence at 0 to meet the attribute requirement for wielding this Incantation.

Ekzykes Decay is the superior version of the Rotten Breath Incantation, and it can be acquired by eliminating Decaying Ekzykes. This optional boss is located west of the Cathedral of Dragon Communion, and we recommend players to try out the Ekzykes Decay Dragon Incantation as it spews Scarlet Rot from above.
