Where to find Deathclaw Eggs in Fallout 76

Drinking it raw does NOT guarantee maximum gains!

Searching for Deathclaw Eggs is a real adventure in Fallout 76, and a risky one too. You can obtain eggs from Deathclaw nests, but that usually means fighting at least one Deathclaw in the process. I still remember them freaking me out when I was a kid playing older iterations of the game. That's why their eggs taste like sweet revenge, even with a high chance of disease and a very high dose of radiation. In this guide, we will explain how to find Deathclaw Eggs and their locations in Fallout 76.

A guaranteed way to obtain a Deathclaw Egg in Fallout 76 is to complete the optional objective in the Hunter for Hire main quest. Locate Liebowitz at the Tyler County Fairgrounds; he will ask you to travel to Deathclaw Island to obtain a Deathclaw Egg. There is a chance of you finding up to two at the Nest. You can get one Stealth Boy for the mission by passing an Intelligence check of +4 to help you out on the run.

  • Arktos Pharma: Travel to the Protein Sequencer room, and take a look on a metal shelf in the bottom right corner; you should find a Deathclaw Egg there.
  • Abandoned waste dump: There are multiple Deathclaw Nests there. After going down the ramp, look for the third nest to your left.
  • Monorail elevator: An Egg can be found on a picnic blanket on top of a building roof. You can access the location by taking an elevator to the West. Be sure to also take a look at the third floor, as it's an excellent farming location.
  •  Enclave research facility: This experimental facility was primarily used to study the mutagenic effects of the Great War on animals. There will be at least one Deathclaw encounter during your run.
  •  Hopewell Cave: When you pass a small body of water near the cave entrance, look for the Egg on the left side of the cave wall. There is a chance of a few of them spawning.

What to do with Deathclaw Eggs in Fallout 76

Deathclaw Eggs are primarily used for completing daily challenges. The requirement is to get a single Deathclaw Egg, but there is a 13.3% chance for up to three eggs to spawn in Deathclaw Nests across the world. You can also use them in cooking recipes to make the following:

  • Deathclaw Wellington
  • Deathclaw Egg Omelette

Consuming Deathclaw Eggs raw will give you +15 Rads and a chance for disease, so making an omelet is highly recommended to gain additional benefits.
