Bite my shiny metal... card!

Encryptid Event is a public event in Fallout 76. It was first introduced in the Wild Appalachia update. This event will summon the Imposter Sheepsquatch with invulnerability and a horde of other robots that back it up. It is one of the more challenging events in the game and requires good communication and teamwork. Starting this event was confusing for some players, and in this guide, we will explain how to start it.

How to start a Fallout 76 Encryptid Event

To start an Encryptid Event in Fallout 76, you must have an Assaultron Recall Keycard. You can get the Assaultron Recall Keycard when you finish Calvin van Lowe's questline, and after that, assemble them on the tinker's workbench. Remember that when you make the Keycard, it only has a one-time use. Here are the ingredients you need to assemble one.

  • Steel x 2
  • Stable Fluorescent Flux x 1
  • Rubber x 1
  • Recall Keycard Circuit Board x 1 (you can get this from Vendors for 2000 Bottlecaps)
  • Copper x 1

You can trigger this event only if it has not occurred on the server for at least three hours. If you don't feel like waiting, you can server-hop until you find the server where the event is not on cooldown and start it there. Once you get the Card, go to the terminal at Pylon ambush in Ash heap to initiate the event.
