To get your Remuneration, you'll need an A-Rank on a Piano Sheet and talk to Dorian of the Piano Outreach Association. Dorian always stands beside the piano with an obtainable Piano Sheet.

To get the Piano Virtuoso Trophy, you need to get six A-ranked performances on any Piano Sheet Music. This means you'll need to hit almost all notes with Great Timing to score as many points as possible on six different music pieces.

Piano Performance minigame tips and tricks in FF7 Rebirth

The Piano Performance minigame is a lot more difficult compared to the Junon Parade rhythm game. In the Junon Parade, you're pressing buttons to the rhythm, while in Piano Performance, you flick your left and right analog stick to the beat.

Here are some tips and tricks that will help you vastly improve your Piano Performance score and get you that sweet Piano Virtuoso trophy:

  1. Practice and memorize note patterns. This may sound cliche, but as a rhythm game enthusiast, memorizing note patterns is the best way to get your scores up and increase your ranking. Not only will you be able to innately strike the note in time (due to the repetition of the song), but you can also preemptively ready yourself for the next set of notes once you memorize them.
  2. Make sure your controller has no stick drift! This is a problem I encountered during the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo. I started noticing this when I can't build a combo during Piano Performances, only to find out that my Dualsense already had a stick drift issue. When I let go of my right analog stick, it automatically defaults to the right side of the deadzone. So save yourself the trouble and double-check your analog sticks.
  3. Focus on the right analog stick. As you get through a song, you'll most likely encounter chords, which require using both the left and right sticks simultaneously. Since the right stick is the "lead" hand (i.e. focused on lead riffs or solos with more notes), you should always pour your attention to that side of the screen.
