How to remove lag in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

FF7 Rebirth lag is rarely a problem with your PS5 or your Dualsense controller. It’s always your display. The best solution I found was to keep my PS5’s resolution static.

To do this, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output. Set your Resolution from Automatic (default) to whatever the highest resolution your TV can support. This personally removed any lag on my own display, and I was finally able to play my timing-based minigames with proper accuracy!

If the above doesn’t fix it for you, scroll down the same menu and turn off 120 Hz Output. Turn on Performance Mode in FF7 Rebirth's settings as well if you haven’t yet.
