The patch may be a good three weeks away, but Square Enix has already told us what’s happening with Allagan Tomestones in Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.4. Two types of Tomestone are going away, and it’s all rolling into a single type. But if you want to know the full list of changes, read on to learn everything about Allagan Tomestones in FFXIV Patch 6.4.

What's new in Allagan Tomestones Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.4?

In Patch 6.4, we’re going to get a brand new Tomestone, as the previous ones are removed; Allagan Tomestones of Aphorism will be removed completely, while Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy will be phased out.

Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy

Once 6.4 drops, Tomestones of Astronomy will no longer be obtainable; all trials and duties that currently yield these Tomestones will instead offer Allagan Tomestones of Causality or the new Allagan Tomestone currency.

Players will no longer be able to exchange the Tomestones for items, but they may be exchanged for Allagan Tomestones of Causality by speaking to Auriana in Revenant's Toll (X: 22.7 Y: 6.7).

Allagan Tomestones of Aphorism

With the release of Patch 6.4, all Allagan Tomestones of Aphorism in the possession of players will be removed. Get rid of all your Allagan tomestones of Astronomy by speaking with Auriana in Revenant's Toll (X: 22.7 Y: 6.7) prior to the scheduled maintenance for Patch 6.4!

What to do with Tomestones before Patch 6.4?

As usual, we recommend capping out your Tomestones no matter what (including your Causality, Astronomy, and Poetics Tomestones) before 6.4. Even though Tomestones of Astronomy won’t be obtainable, you’ll be able to effectively bank Tomestones of Causality using the 2,000 Astronomy Tomestones you have left, although the conversion won’t be 1:1.

The only Tomestone you’ll want to get rid of completely are Tomestones of Aphorism. If for some reason you still have some, trade them all in now!
