Final Fantasy XIV may have been around for a long time now, but the classic anime-style MMORPG is still commanding a massive player base, thanks to its regular high-quality updates. What Chronicles of a New Era quests arrived in patch 6.2?
The Chronicles of a New Era quest line is aimed at players looking for more challenging multiplayer raid-style content. They are essentially side quests, so you do not need to complete them to continue the main storyline. Patch 6.2 introduced Pandæmonium, a 13-part quest that begins in Old Sharlayan with the quest The Crystal From Beyond (received from Nemjiji in Archon's Design). To begin the quests, you will need to be a level 90 Disciple of War or Magic.
The quests are only unlocked once you have completed the main storyline extension, which also arrived with Patch 6.2, a nine-quest series that begins with In Search of Azdaja and concludes with Buried Memory. Ten of the 13 Pandæmonium quests reward players with Materia IX. But more importantly, you will unlock access to the challenging raid dungeon Pandaemonium Abyssos.
