How to get the Orthos Craklaw mount in FFXIV

As mentioned, the Orthos Craklaw mount is a reward from the Eureka Orthos deep dungeon. At certain points during your exploration of Eureka Orthos you may be able to find pieces of the Accursed Hoard. Take these to Valeroine in Mor Dhona (X: 34.9 Y: 19.1) to have them appraised, which will turn them into Sacks. These can be Bronze-tinged, Silver-tinged, or Gold-tinged. To unlock the Orthos Craklaw, you’ll need a Gold-tinged sack.

Once you open the sack, you’ll have a chance to obtain the Orthos Craklaw Horn, which can be used to summon the Orthos Craklaw. Finally, this mount is tradable and marketable, so you can also find it for sale on the Market Board. However, since it’s a relatively new mount, and hard to obtain, expect to spend several million Gil to obtain it!

What is the Orthos Craklaw?

The Orthos Craklaw is a recreation of a notorious crab mob from the Deep Dungeons and Ruby Sea areas of FFXIV. One of the more impressive-looking crustacean models in the game, this fearsome clawed critter is now a perfect mount for your Warrior of Light!
