How to unlock the Teacup Kapikulu minion in Final Fantasy XIV

A boss new Minion!

Minions are one of the best parts of Final Fantasy XIV, as everyone loves collecting cute critters to follow you around. In patch 6.1 of Endwalker, a host of new minions were added, including the Teacup Kapikulu, a diminutive version of a new boss.

How to get the Teacup Kapikulu

To unlock the Teacup Kapikulu you need to unlock and complete the new dungeon for patch 6.1, Alzadaal's Legacy. This dungeon is unlocked mid-way through the new Main Story Quest (MSQ) for the new patch. The minion is a representation of one of the final bosses in the Dungeon.

The Teacup Kapikulu drops from the final chest in the Dungeon, but has a rare drop rate, so it won’t always spawn. If you run this Dungeon with other players, there’s a chance that a party member rolls higher on the Minion, thus preventing you from getting it.

Alternatively you can run the dungeon with a Trust, a group of NPCs, and keep the Minion for yourself, along with any other loot. However, you’ll still have to contest with the low drop rate for the minion itself!
