Best Bond Rings for each Emblem in Fire Emblem Engage Tier List

The best of the rest.

One of the biggest new elements of this new entry in the long-running Fire Emblem franchise is the Emblem Rings. These magical pieces of jewelry allow the wearer to summon the spirit of heroes from earlier games to aid them in their quest. Unlocking each Emblem Ring will summon protagonists from earlier games, but other characters are represented in Bond Rings. Not every Bond Ring is created equal; some can revolutionize your play style.

Best Bond Rings for Every Emblem Ring in Fire Emblem Engage

Best Bond Ring for Marth: Caeda

The Pegasus Knight from the original Fire Emblem comes to Engage with a special ability. Her skill Sympathetic cushions the wearer from damage whenever their health is under 50%. This can keep a unit alive in a pivotal moment.

Best Bond Ring for Celica: Alm

Unfortunately, Fire Emblem Gaiden's secondary protagonist doesn't get the bearing of his co-star, Celica. He has the skill Windsweep, which allows the user to prevent counterattacks when attacking with a sword. Swordsmen can use this to get away with an otherwise risky strike.

Best Bond Ring for Sigurd: Deirdre

This Light Priestess is Sigurd's wife, the Lady of the Forest. Her skill Renewal makes her one of the most powerful Bond Rings in the game. Deirdre's skill simply grants 5 HP every turn for free. Healing doesn't come cheap in Fire Emblem, so this can keep a unit alive and well.

Best Bond Ring for Leif: Finn

Finn is a Lance Knight who was 15 in his first on-screen appearance. His image in Fire Emblem Engage looks closer to his 30-year-old iteration from Generation 2. His ring grants the wearer the skill Miracle, which grants a small chance to avoid a lethal blow. It's based on the unit's luck, but that ability could save a character's life.

Best Bond Ring for Roy: Dieck

Dieck is the classic gruff mercenary type. He cares a lot about his men, and he's good in a fight, but he's not the most upbeat member of the team. Dieck grants the skill Strong Arm, which increases a user's Hit by 20 when using a smash weapon. Warhammer users can get a lot of value from this ring, as their hits tend to do a lot of damage.

Best Bond Ring for Lyn: Eliwood

Eliwood is the protagonist of the second half of his game and is a great foil to Lyn. Since he's a natural leader, his skill allows the wearer to command others. Eliwood's Bond Ring grants Draw Back, which can be used to move an adjacent unit along with the wearer. In a pinch, this could push a friend out of danger or get them closer to the brawl.

Best Bond Ring for Eirika: Marisa

The Crimson Flash from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is a dangerous Myrmidon swordswoman. She's known for her speed and skill and can't be trusted not to betray her allies. Her Bond Ring grants the skill Lethality, which can turn a critical hit into an instant kill. It doesn't work against every enemy, but it could take care of a dangerous foe in a single lucky hit.

Best Bond Ring for Ike: Mia

Mia is an energetic sellsword who loves to work hard and play hard. She's known for training with a ton of aggression and seeking out strong opponents to fight. Mia's Bond Ring gives the wearer the simple Shove skill, which allows the wearer to move an ally one space away. Like Eliwood's skill, moving allies without wasting their turn can be very helpful.

Best Bond Ring for Micaiah: Sothe

Micaiah's blood brother from Path of Radiance is a brooding thief with a lot of angst in his past. Sothe worships Ike after serving under him in the war, but he's also a competent fighter in his own right. His skill is called Bane, which offers the slight chance to instantly reduce a foe to 1 HP after an attack. This won't kick in often, but it could be the sudden end of a troublesome enemy.

Best Bond Ring for Lucina: Chrom

Everyone knows Chrom, one of the many Fire Emblem protagonists to occupy the Smash Bros. tier list. He's arguably more central to Fire Emblem Awakening than Lucina, but he's still taking second billing here. Chrom's Bond Ring grants the skill Rightful Ruler, which adds 5% to every skill with a trigger rate. Put this on a character with a rare but useful skill to get the most out of random chance.

Best Bond Ring for Corrin: Ryoma

The High Prince of Hoshidan is known for his powerful fighting style and regal bearing. His bond ring capitalizes on his samurai style with a skill called Bushido. It only works against foes that are lower level than the wearer, but it grants several benefits. When fighting weaker enemies, the wearer gets a huge bonus to Crit, deals two additional damage, and resists two damage from every attack. It's a massive benefit under the right circumstances.

Best Bond Ring for Byleth: Edelgard

All three house leaders from Fire Emblem Engage's older brother Three Houses are available as Bond Ring options for Byleth's Emblem, and they're all great options. Claude's lets archers fire from an additional space away, and Dimitri's lets a unit attack and back away. Byleth's skill is called Flickering Flower, and it gives every combat initiated by the unit a slim chance of stunning the target. Though it's rare, completely freezing an enemy is too good to pass up. Looks like the Black Eagles will win this round.
