Why Vander is not leveling up in Fire Emblem Engage, explained

Level up already Vander.

Fire Emblem Engage offers a variety of units and characters to use as you battle. These are unlocked as you progress, but you will start the game with a handful of units, including Vander. Early on, Vander is very powerful due to his armor, attack, and movement, but you may notice that he is not leveling up like other characters. This may leave you wondering why Vander doesn't level up and how to increase his level.

How to level up Vander in Fire Emblem Engage

As Vander is a Paladin class in Fire Emblem Engage, he will take much longer to level up, especially at the beginning of Fire Emblem Engage. The Paladin class is an Advanced Class, normally available by promoting a unit with a Master Seal. This means Vander is already in an upgraded class compared to the rest of your characters.

So it will take longer to increase Vander's level at first, but enemies will provide more experience as you progress. As your other characters level up and become stronger, you will notice that their experience growth will start catching up to Vander.

So don't be worried that Vander is not leveling up in Fire Emblem Engage. This is due to the way Basic and Advance Classes work. As time passes, Vander's growth and level-up rate will be on par with the rest of your characters.
