5 Things to expect in Road Warrior-like Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3

It's time to rev your engines for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked!

As players approach the end of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 (Myths & Mortals), we're amping up for a new season that blends vehicles with weapons. Here's everything fans can expect from Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 (Wrecked).

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 (Wrecked) is arriving soon

The next season of Fortnite Battle Royale is going to be a favorite for fans of franchises like Mad Max and Twisted Metal. From new vehicles and guns to unique POIs on the map, there's a lot to look forward to. Here are the five major changes players can expect from the next season.

Armored vehicles for the entire squad

Back in Fortnite Chapter 2, IO was an organization that was threatening the island's stability and played a big role in the game's storyline. It also introduced new weapons and vehicles that were quite strong, including the IO Tank that could hold an entire squad. This tank could also fire missiles and protect itself from incoming projectiles.

In the next season, players can expect similar vehicles but something much faster and deadlier. Since the newest map changes in Fortnite hold a larger landscape for more vehicles to roam about freely, there's a big chance that we will see cars that are faster yet protect squads from bullets and missiles.

In fact, creators and streamers have already started receiving hints from Epic Games about new vehicular additions to the game.

Customizable vehicles with gun mods

The current meta in Fortnite Battle Royale already supports mods and attachments. Keeping this in mind, it's highly likely that Fortnite's new season (Wrecked) is going to do the same with vehicles. A few seasons ago, players could access the iconic Battle Bus but not just as a drivable vehicle. Instead, players could use a turret (placed on top) as well as a cow catcher attached to become destructive forces of nature.

Next season, we can expect something similar where cars are modifiable to a point where different guns (like turrets and missile launchers) can be attached to simple-looking vehicles.

Vehicular arena battles

Just like the Mad Max films, vehicular combat, and arenas could find a way into the next season of the game. At present, Rocket Racing has many cars that are apt for racing even on Battle Royale Island. However, this hasn't been explored in a way that would support combat.

In the next season, players could feel like warriors as they wage a war on the roads against other players; we could be looking at 1v1 or 4v4 fights that can either be part of the regular Battle Royale mode or have its separate mode in Fortnite.

Multi-terrain mobility

Fortnite's island has multiple different regions—forests, hills/mountains, deserts, and an entire ocean that surrounds it. However, mobility is still limited, unless we consider Wings of Icarus (which will be gone next season).

This is going to be the perfect time to expect new vehicles that are capable of maneuvering over different kinds of terrains without breaking down. In fact, the card sent by Epic to content creators mentions "cars inspired by Chapter 5 Season 3, so you can practice your rotations", which is a clear sign of what we can expect from the next seasons (i.e. multi-purpose wheels and suspensions/engines that support off-roading).

Vehicular boss fights

Ever since Fortnite's Chapter 2 took boss fights a bit seriously, fans have witnessed multiple bosses like Midas and Meowscles roam around the map. Similarly, the next season will have new characters dropping in, and there's a chance that a few of them will be roaming the island in big cars that can be stolen by players.

Or, maybe we'll have to fight them. Think of this as a duel between vehicles, where bullets, wheels, and rockets are involved.
