Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 Week 6 challenges guide

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Another week of challenges is going to be underway as we get closer and closer to the end of the season. Halloween is just around the corner, so things are going to start getting festive around Fortnite. You can expect to see some pretty awesome spooky cosmetics to be released during the month. The challenges for this week are pretty basic, but the one that requires you to catch a legendary fish might have some players getting frustrated by the rarity of them. You will also need to utilize the powers of the Black Panther to get through the week!

Here's what you will see on Thursday, October 1st when the challenges are released for the Fortnite Battle Pass:

  • Search 7 Chests at Weeping Woods
  • Get 3 Eliminations at Misty Meadows
  • Collect 300 Stone from Coral Castle
  • Consume 1 Legendary Fish
  • Consume 10 Foraged Items at Holly Hedges
  • Ride a Zipline from Retail Row to Steamy Stacks
  • Deal 1,000 damage after knocking an opponent back with Black Panther's Kinetic Shockwave (Group Challenge)
  • Deal 500 damage to opponents at Slurpy Swamp

The eighth challenge on the list will likely only be used if one of the other challenge is bugged. There are only seven challenges per week!

For the chests you need to find, you'll be running around Weeping Woods. You will need to be careful though, because Wolverine now paces around the forest region looking for hapless players to decimate. Credit to Fortnite.gg for the map.

Getting eliminations at Misty Meadow and 300 stone from Coral Castle are going to be particularly easy. Just hot drop Misty Meadow, and jump into a Team Rumble game to head over to Coral Castle and hack all of the stonework that is located in the area.

Catching a legendary fish might be pretty problematic. These are fairly rare and hard to get, you will need to catch yourself the Midas Flopper, Thermalfish, or the Vendetta Flopper. You can catch the Midas and Thermalfish anywhere with any type of rod, however, if you are looking for the Vendetta Flopper, you will need the Pro Fishing Rod. To get one of those, you will need to take a normal fishing pole and use one of the upgrade locations to make it pro! This will give you a chance to catch all of the legendary fish, so I would recommend doing this if you can. There's not much else you can do to increase your chances, just start heading to fishing holes and catch as many as possible!

In the backyard of some of the houses, you can find a garden with some vegetables to consume. This is going to be the best option available to you for completing the foraged items challenge. There are also going to be some food boxes around as well, these should count towards the task.

The zipline from Retail Row to Steamy Stacks is the huge powerlines you'll see that span all the way across the land near Dirty Docks. I would recommend Team Rumble for this, so you can complete it without getting shot down while you are traveling.

The final challenge you might need some tips on would be the one involving Black Panther's Kinetic Shockwave. You can get this from the Quinjet plane locations and out of the supply drones that fly around them. You could also attempt to do this challenge in one of the Marvel based LTMs that feature the majority of the superpowers that you can use! It would also be a good idea to jump in with a squad, because it's a group challenge that will count for everyone.
