Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is here, bringing Wasteland Warriors to the game. As always, the Fortnite island has been completely revamped with the influx of new POIs, so here's a detailed breakdown of all the new named locations and places of interesting hitting the Fortnite map.
An overview of the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map
The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has brought three new named locations to the map, following the ferocious sandstorm we witnessed during the previous season's live event. The sandstorm gave birth to a new biome in the south known as the wasteland where you'll find most of the following new POIs. Epic Games has also switched up the popular Snooty Steppes renaming it to Sandy Steppes.
The rest of the map largely remains the same, meaning you can still visit the grassland, winter, and desert biomes filled with iconic places like Classy Courts, Fencing Fields, and Mount Olympus.
New POIs
Here's a list of all the new POIs you can explore in the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map:
- Redline Rig
- Nitrodome
- Brutal Beachhead
Redline Rig
The Redline Rig is home to the new boss, The Machinist, also known as the Wasteland Warriors’ master mechanic. The POI is located in the south of the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 island right below the Fencing Fields.
Thankfully, the medallions still exist in the new Fortnite season, which means the The Machinist will drop her Medallion upon being eliminated. Epic Games has confirmed that her medallion will regenerate your Shield over time. But that's not all. This Medallion can be used to open the garage in Redline Rig holding her special modded car with the mythic The Machinist’s Combat Assault Rifle.
Nitrodome
Nitrodome is located almost in the center of the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map right below Fencing Fields. At this location, you'll find another new boss, the Ringmaster Scarr, whose Medallion will give you infinite ammo and a small damage buff.
Similar to The Machinist, you can access the Ringmaster's garage to get her special car and the Ringmaster’s Boom Bolt mythic weapon.
Brutal Beachhead
Brutal Beachhead is the base of operations for the Wasteland Warriors and home to the Wasteland Warriors’ master muscle, Megalo Don. The Brutal Beachhead is also accompanied by a small landmark known as Sandy Steppes which was called Snooty Steppes in the previous season.
Like other new POIs, Brutal Beachhead lies on the southern part of the map near the desert biome. Since this location is right next to the ocean, you can also grab your fishing rods and loot your gear in style.
When it comes to the Megalo Don’s Medallion, it will infuse you with infinite Nitro which will provide you with the following benefits:
- Movement speed increase
- Explosive bashing power that deals damage and knockback
- Stamina consumption decrease
- Reload speed increase
- Fall damage immunity
You can also steal his ride but the best part is he also drops his Mythic Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists upon elimination. But be warned, his rage doesn’t take long to surface.

- Grim Gate
- Mount Olympus
- Brawler’s Battleground
- Classy Courts
- Fencing Fields
- Grand Glacier
