Fortnite Iron Spider Skin leaked, pricing sparks mixed reactions among fans

Fortnite's collaboration with Marvel continues to create sparks among fans as Fortnite x Iron Spider-Man final leaks surface. According to the leaks, the skin and items, inspired by Spider-Man's iconic Iron Spider suit, are set to come to the game's store this Friday at 8 PM ET.

The leaks originally came from SpushFNBR and were reiterated by two of the most trusted Fortnite leakers, ShiinaBR and iFireMonkey. As per those leaks, the Iron Spider Skin will be available for 2,000 V-Bucks, which will have free Back Bling, Glider, and Pickaxe. Additionally, the items include an Emote and Wrap priced at 500 V-Bucks each and a Guitar for 1,000 V-Bucks. You can also get the whole bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks.

While the new content generated a wave of excitement among fans, the pricing has garnered mixed reactions. Many are enthusiastic about the newly added spidey skin, showing their eagerness to add it to their collection, with one top comment simply stating, "I want it."

On the other hand, some players are calling these items "overpriced," with some of them wanting access to Tony Stark's account, stating, "At this rate, I’ll need Tony Stark’s bank account to afford all these skins." Many other tweets highlight that 500 V-Bucks for an emote or adding Back Bling, Glider, and Pickaxe with the skin is unnecessary.

The debate about over-pricing highlights the broader concern within Fortnite, which is to say the prices of cosmetics are steadily going up. One tweet perfectly highlighted this by noting that the Fortnite Wanda bundle was only 1,800 V-Bucks.

Overall, the full bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks provides the best value since just the skin alone is 2,000 V-Bucks. Either way, with just days before the Iron Spider bundle is available, it remains to be seen how the community will ultimately react.
