Fortnite v15.21 Patch Notes – Release Date, Server Downtime

We have another update straight after last week! However, this one is only a small update that adds a few interesting things!

Update Release Date & Time

The Fortnite 15.21 Patch has been officially announced and will be released on Jan. 20 at 3 am CT (9 am UTC).

Server Downtime

The downtime for this Fortnite update will start at 3am CT (9am UTC) and will end roughly about 6 am CT (12:00 UTC) though this may vary depending on how swiftly Epic can upload the patch. In other words, don't wait around for it, even if you're excited to play!

Official 15.21 Patch Notes

Epic did not send out official patch notes to content creators this week, as this update is small in size. The only information we have to go off is the following that Fortnite Status tweeted out:

v15.21 brings:

✅ New Boss Character + Mythic Item
✅ Jungle Hunter Quests
✅ IO Guards removed from Arena

New Boss Character

This is no doubt referring to the Predator, because well, look below it, Jungle Hunter Quests. It all adds up, really, doesn't it?!?! We'll be pleasantly surprised if it wasn't, but alas, we don't think that will happen.

However, that is not all. The Portal has been opened, but the Predator is already prowling the Zero Point map... so who is coming through? If the rumors are true but are a duo pair are about to hop through the portal and help players confront Predator, but who will it be?

This is a small update; there is not a lot else to say. There have not been many leaks about this, and there weren't that many skins either. There were many encrypted files, so we might have more leaks than we think for this update!

This is an item only used by the Predator NPC at this current time.

Fortnite 15.21 Patch Bug Fixes

General

• Sound effect audio delay.
• Difficulty editing Banner with a controller.
• Long loading screen after completing a session on PlayStation/Xbox.

Battle Royale

• Sand Tunneling should be coming back.
• Game freezing when going to the Complete tab on PlayStation/Xbox.

Creative Mode

• Devices and Prefabs tabs are swapped when viewing the Creative inventory.
• Billboards that use channels to activate or hide text are not functioning properly.

Save the World

• Eliminating Takers doesn't count towards Ventures quest.
